Umpires Cursussen

De ICC stapt binnenkort over naar een nieuw online platform voor training en educatie. Om deel te kunnen nemen aan de face-to-face trainingsmomenten in 2026, moet je jouw online training uiterlijk op 26 december 2026 hebben afgerond.
Zodra de ICC meer informatie over deze overgang deelt, zullen wij onze website direct updaten.

Traject/Pathway KNCB umpires opleiding i.s.m. met de ICC.

ICC Umpire Foundation Course

Voor wie
Voor degene die als club umpire in de lagere klasse staat. Maar ook spelers in de klassen waar de KNCB geen umpires aanstelt en ook voor coaches en ouders die jeugdcricket begeleiden. Het volgen van het online gedeelte van de level 1 cursus wordt aangeraden.

ICC Umpire Course Level 1

Voor wie
Voor degene die als bondsumpire door de KNCB aangesteld worden. De cursus bestaat uit een online en een face-to-face gedeelte. Voor de deelname aan het online gedeelte dient de ICC Umpire Foundation Course te zijn afgerond. Voor de deelname aan het face-to-face gedeelte dient het online gedeelte te zijn afgerond. Na het behalen van de cursus dient men 5 wedstrijden te staan met een ervaren collega om als bondsumpire gezien te worden.

Van bondsumpires verwachten wij dat zij minimaal 10 wedstrijden in het jaar van het behalen van de cursus staan, in de opvolgende jaren dienen zij minimaal 6 wedstrijden te staan. Ook wordt er verwacht dat men minimaal 50% van de trainingsmomenten deelneemt die jaarlijks worden aangeboden.

Data en deelname
Voor de start van seizoen 2026 organiseert de KNCB meerdere face-to-face trainingsdagen om jouw ICC Umpires Level 1-certificering af te ronden.

De volgende weekenden hebben we voorlopig gereserveerd:

• Optie 1 — 28 feb & 1 mrt
• Optie 2 — 8 & 15 mrt
• Optie 3 — 21 & 22 mrt
• Optie 4 — 28 & 29 mrt

De trainers staan klaar. De locaties plannen we op basis van de deelnemers, zodat we reistijd voor iedereen zoveel mogelijk kunnen beperken. Voor het doorgaan van de cursus zijn minimaal 16 deelnemers nodig. De kosten bedragen € 150,00.

Om te kunnen deelnemen aan het face-to-face deel, moet je:

• de ICC Umpires Foundation Course hebben afgerond, én
• geslaagd zijn voor het online deel van ICC Umpires Level 1

Rond dit uiterlijk 26 december 2025 af. De ICC verhuist alle cursussen en administratie naar een nieuw systeem, en dat traject kost tijd.
Na het afronden van het online Level 1-gedeelte ontvang je een QR-code. Stuur deze naar adriaan.van.den.dries@kncb.nl. Daarna ontvang je het inschrijfformulier voor de face-to-face trainingsmomenten.

ICC Umpire Course Level 2

Voor wie
Voor de bondsumpires die in de Topklasse en daarboven willen staan. Deze cursus is op uitnodiging en wordt op door de ICC aangewezen locaties gegeven.

Cursus is in ontwikkeling bij de ICC en wordt in 2026 uitgerold.

Continuous Development voor bondsumpires

Voor wie
Voor alle bondsumpires worden er gedurende het seizoen 6 face-to-face sessies georganiseerd om de kennis op peil te houden. Van de umpires wordt verwacht dat zij aan minimaal 3 van deze sessies deelnemen.
In de wintermaanden wordt dit aangevuld met 5 online sessies.

Data voor 2025-2026 zijn aan de bondsumpires uitgestuurd.

The ICC will soon transition all training and education to a new online platform. To ensure your participation in the 2026 face-to-face training sessions, please make sure you complete your online training by 26 December 2026.
As soon as the ICC provides more details about this transition, we will update our website.

ICC Umpire Foundation Course

For whom.
For the person who is a club umpire in the lower league. Or who is a player in a league were the KNCB doesn’t appoint umpires and also for coaches and parents who supervise youth cricket. Attending the online part of the level 1 course is recommended.

ICC Umpire Course Level 1

For whom
For those who are appointed as bonds umpire by the KNCB. The course consists of an online and a face-to-face part. Participation in the online part requires completion of the ICC Umpire Foundation Course. Participation in the face-to-face portion requires completion of the online part. After passing the course, one must stand 5 matches with an experienced colleague to be considered a bonds umpire.

We expect bondsumpires to stand a minimum of 10 matches in the year they complete their course. In the following years, they are required to stand at least 6 matches per season. We also expect participation in at least 50% of the training sessions offered each year.

Dates
Before the start of the 2026 season, the KNCB will organize several face-to-face training sessions to complete your ICC Umpires Level 1 accreditation.

We have penciled in the following weekends:

• Option 1 — 28 February & 1 March
• Option 2 — 8 & 15 March
• Option 3 — 21 & 22 March
• Option 4 — 28 & 29 March

Our trainers are ready to go. Final locations will depend on the participants so we can keep travel distances as low as possible. We need a minimum of 16 participants for the course to run. The course fee is €150.00.

To join the face-to-face sessions, you must have:

• successfully completed the ICC Umpires Foundation Course, and
• passed the online part of the ICC Umpires Level 1 Course.

Please make sure you finish this by 26 December 2025. The ICC will be transferring all courses and administration to a new system, which will take some time.
Once you complete the online Level 1 modules, you will receive a QR code. Please send it to adriaan.van.den.dries@kncb.nl. You will then receive the registration form for the face-to-face training sessions.

ICC Umpire Course Level 2

For whom.
For bondsumpires who aspire to officiate in the Topklasse and above. This course is by invitation only and is delivered at ICC-designated venues.

Dates
Course is under development at the ICC and will be rolled out in 2026.

Continuous Development for bonds umpires

For whom
For all bondsumpires, six face-to-face sessions will be organised during the season to maintain knowledge and performance levels. Umpires are expected to attend at least three of these sessions.
During the winter months, this will be complemented by five online sessions.
