- Bangladesh trumps Dutch in final match Qualifier

Despite a nice partnership between Robine Rijke and Sanya Khurana, the Dutch succumbed to tournament winner Bangladesh on Sunday: 102/6 - 105/3.
Winning the toss meant batting first. As against Ireland, moderate shot selection led to 18/4 at the end of the Powerplay. At the drinks break it was 34/5.
Robine Rijke (39) and Sanya Khurana (43 not out) then made a beautiful partnership of 78 runs for the sixth wicket. As a result, the Orange had something to bowl against: 102/6 (with 3-10 for Nahida Akter).
Initially, Bangladesh seemed to underestimate the chase a bit (6/2). However, captain Nigar Sultana brought the Bengali ship in calmer waters to 47/2/10.
A fantastic catch by Merel Dekeling meant 48/3. Despite strong bowling (Heather Siegers 1-9), Bangladesh hit the winning runs in the seventeenth over.
Despite this defeat, the Dutch are going to the T20 World Cup in England in June - well deserved after a strong tournament.
