Busy summer for Dutch women’s XI
Published at 27 March, 2019The 2019 season promises to be an intense and very busy year for the Netherlands Women’s Team. It all starts in the UK when the team will take part in the ECB Division 3 County Competition. The team will play five games over three weekends:
- 5 May – Norfolk at Old Buckenham Cricket Club
- 6 May – Cambridgeshire at Bluntisham Cricket Club
- 19 May – Hertfordshire at Harlow Cricket Club
- 26 May – Suffolk at Long Melford Cricket Club
- 27 May – Northamptonshire at Brixworth Cricket Club
The county competition will provide a good platform to launch what will be a very important qualification year for the Women’s team; they have the opportunity later in summer to qualify for both the T20 and 50 over global qualification tournaments. A good showing in the ECB will certainly allow the team to tackle the summer with a lot of confidence. It will be a good challenge for the young squad of coach Sean Trouw.
