Cedric de Lange leads the Dutch U19 team past Jersey
Published at 03 August, 2025Three out of three. That's the positive result for the Dutch U19 team, who are fighting in Scotland for one World Cup spot. The potentially crucial clash with host Scotland is drawing closer now that Jersey was clinically defeated on Sunday: 141 all out – 142/3.
Jersey's batting never really got going. Aaditt Jain is having a fantastic tournament, this time with 3-20. Furthermore, it was captain De Lange who gave the Player of the Match Adjudicator an easy day with 3-23, two catches, and a run out.
This was further reinforced when De Lange – as usual – opened the batting for his team. With 68 runs, he laid the foundation for a resounding third victory before Teun Kloppenburg (55 not out) completed it.
The Netherlands U19 team will play Sweden on August 5 and Scotland on August 6. The final match will be livestreamed via Cricket Scotland's website.
