- Cricket on VRA with MCC, Flamingos and Netherlands A

In the week of May 27, the MCC, Flamingos and Netherlands A played several limited over matches against each other. The Flamingos kicked off against the MCC on Monday, May 27 and restricted the visitors from London to 118/5. Shariz Ahmad and Julian de Mey had identical figures with 2-16 in four overs. The successful run chase of the 'Birds' was led by Clayton Floyd with 52 not out off 37 balls.
In the second game, the roles were reversed. A fantastic spell by left arm seamer Matthew Wareing resulted in 3-18 of his four overs and a less than brilliant score of 36/4/7. The Ahmad brothers tried to rebuild the innings with scores of around 20, but could not prevent the Flamingos from being all out for 95 (Jack Bruce 3-17) – a score that was easily surpassed by the guests (Sam Perry 36).
On Tuesday, a 50-over game was scheduled with Netherlands A and the MCC. The Londoners came to 206 all out with Richard Grant (51) as top scorer. As the eighth bowler Sikander Zulfiqar took 4-43. Arnav Jain was ultra-economical with 1-11 in ten overs. The match could not be completed due to rain, but mainly thanks to Musa Ahmad (66 of 69), the Netherlands A had the win in the bag according to Duckworth/Lewis after 21.3 overs at a score of 109/1.
On May 30, the MCC was all out for 88. Mees van Vliet took 3-14 and Arnav Jain 2-4. 89/3 in 19.1 overs was the sufficient answer of Netherlands A, with Musa Ahmad 34 not out.
On the last day of May, left-arm spinner Reid-Dick (5-13) made sure the Flamingos were all out for 71. In 12.5 overs, the MCC batted to a winning 74/3.
