- Croes, Van Vliet and Levitt excel in victory Netherlands A over Emirates

The Netherlands A recorded a solid victory over the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday. The UAE will participate in a TriSeries with Scotland and the Netherlands in early May. With five catches and 94 not out, keeper/batsman Noah Croes was important for his team. Mees van Vliet (4-39) and Michael Levitt (67 runs) also played themselves into the spotlight.
With 55 runs for the first wicket the Emirates got off to a good start. They seemed to be heading towards 250, until top scorer Aryansh Sharma (60) tried to reverse sweep Shariz Ahmad (2-39). After that, only middle order contributions came from Waseem and Pareshar (both 33). Noah Croes took five catches behind the wicket, among others off the bowling of Viv Kingma (2-37) and Mees van Vliet (4-39 in ten overs).
A partnership of 102 runs for the second wicket of Levitt and Croes laid the foundation for an easy-looking Dutch victory. Levitt (67) was dismissed, but thanks to the experienced Wesley Barresi (47 not out), there was no further wicket loss: 218/2/43.
On Thursday, May 1, the second friendly game (50 overs) will take place at VRA in Amstelveen. Admission is free, start 11.00 am.
