- David Woutersen teturns to KNCB

David Woutersen will return to the KNCB as of February 15, 2026, as Director of Domestic Cricket.
David previously worked at the KNCB from 2009 to 2017. He started as an intern and has since performed a wide range of tasks. For six years, he was league director, organized international matches and tournaments throughout his KNCB tenure, and was manager of the Dutch women's national team for two years.
After his time at the KNCB, David held various positions at Sportbedrijf Rotterdam. In these roles, he focused primarily on getting vulnerable groups in the city active, always focusing on their specific needs. In the past year, David also worked independently on various projects within the sports sector, including for the Beweegalliantie (Movement Alliance). In addition to his professional career, David was chairman of Excelsior '20 in Schiedam for three years. With his new appointment, he has stepped down from this role.
David comments: “The great thing about my previous work experience is that I can now combine all that knowledge and insights effectively. The combination of my years at the KNCB (Royal Dutch Cricket Board), my work as chair, and my experience in municipal sports means I can truly contribute something in this role. I'm really looking forward to working with all the clubs to further develop cricket. A key challenge lies in the development of women's cricket, which is essential for ensuring the future of the sport in the Netherlands. I'm very much looking forward to that!”
