- Dream start Dutch women

The Dutch women have started the World Cup qualifying tournament in Abu Dhabi well. 154 Dutch runs were answered with only 54 from Vanuatu.
Orange had a reasonable start; 53/2/7.3 was a promising score, as was 85/3/11.5.
Sterre Kalis formed the backbone of the Dutch innings with a brilliant 70 off 51 balls, contributing well to The Netherlands final score of 154/6.
Vanuatu innings
The Netherlands was sharp in the field. Robine Rijke caught opener Andrew and a little later Silver Siegers caused a run out with a fantastic throw.
Due to tight bowling and fielding, Vanuatu did not get into the game for a moment. It stumbled to 54, with dream figures for Caroline de Lange 2-8, Silver Siegers 2-11, Merel Dekeling 1-7 and Iris Zwilling 1-12.
On Monday, the Netherlands will play its second qualifying match against the UAE, which can be followed live on ICC TV.
