- Dutch beat Sri Lanka in first warm-up game

In the first warm-up match for the T20 World Cup, the Dutch men defeated Sri Lanka 181-161. Michael Levitt, who was so successful in Nepal, made his mark with 55 runs off 28 balls. Aryan Dutt (3-20) excelled with the ball.
Levitt and Max O'Dowd (17) got off to a brisk start. As it was a warm-up match, Levitt retired after 55 runs. Teja Nidamanuru (27) and Scott Edwards (27 not out off twelve balls) contributed to the respectable score of 181/5.
Where Sri Lanka was the better team in the past – especially in the T20 format – the Dutch managed to beat their 'Angstgegner' this time thanks to strong bowling by Dutt (3-20), Kyle Klein (2-13) and Logan van Beek (1-8).
On Thursday, the Netherlands will play another warm-up match against Canada in Dallas. In the same converted baseball stadium, Nepal will be the first T20 World Cup opponent of the Dutch on June 4.
