- Dutch men already certain of qualification for World Cup T20 in 2024

Thanks to excellent performances at the T20 World Cup, the Dutch men's team is already assured of qualification for the next World Cup in 2024. Earlier today (Sunday), the Dutch team recorded a sensational victory over one of the original title favourites, South Africa. Due to a win by Pakistan over Bangladesh and India over Zimbabwe, the Dutch finished fourth. That place entitles the Netherlands to direct qualification.
That's fantastic news; until now, the Netherlands has always been dependent on qualifying tournaments and preliminary rounds.
Given the large number of surprising results during this World Cup, two Full Members will have to play Qualifiers: Ireland and Zimbabwe. In addition, strong Associate Members such as UAE, Namibia and Scotland will also have to work their way to participation in the 2024 event through qualifying tournaments – other than the Dutch.
