- Dutch women beat USA in practice match

The Dutch team practiced twice this week. The match on Thursday could not be completed; the match on Tuesday was won impressively. On 7, 9, 11, 12 and 13 June, the Netherlands will play five T20Is against the United States.
After losing three quick wickets in the Powerplay for only 19 runs, Robine Rijke (47 off 42) stabilised the innings together with Carlijn van Koolwijk (17 off 21) and Myrthe van den Raad (25 off 26). The running between the wickets was sharp and several nice boundaries were hit. Iris Zwilling smashed 24 not out off just 13 balls, bringing the Dutch total to 133 in 20 overs.
The Dutch started strong with two catches for Iris Zwilling off her own bowling in the Powerplay. Despite a good innings of Ritu Singh (41 off 41), the Dutch consistently picked up wickets and did not let the Americans settle. Caroline de Lange picked up three wickets; Myrthe van den Raad and both off spinners Lilli Hamilton and Phebe Molkenboer took 1 wicket each. With two sharp run outs, USA was 114 all out in the last over.
Rain
