- Dutch women on top in final encounter with USA

The Dutch women ‘s team has won the fourth and final T20I against the United States. With impressive numbers: 149-74.
The Netherlands, which had already won the Series, batted first after winning the toss. Phebe Molkenboer opened well; after her dismissal the runs came mainly from Babette de Leede (43 off 33 balls with six boundaries) and Sterre Kalis (31). Six players made double figures scores. Iris Zwilling, Heather Siegers and Frédérique Overdijk were all unlucky enough to be caught brilliantly.
Despite the greatly improved fielding performance of the Americans, there were still 149 runs in the scoring book. Team USA was out for revenge, but the top order was unable to hit the balls over the infield. Heather Siegers even caught two Americans in one over from Zwilling. After the Powerplay, there was a disappointing 18/5 on the Utrecht scoreboard; De facto game, set and match. Despite some missed catching opportunities, the US still fell well short: 74 all out. Iris Zwilling bowled brilliantly and had corresponding figures (3-11). Heather Siegers and Caroline de Lange took two wickets each.
It was a sunny end to a week in which the Netherlands dominated; a good rehearsal for the European T20 World Cup Qualifier in August.
