- Dutch women to Global Qualifier after victory over Germany

After beating Germany, the Orange Women have reached the Global Qualifier in Nepal in January 2026. Phebe Molkenboer was at the base of the win with a phenomenal 91 not out.
The Netherlands won the toss and had a shaky start. After a while, however, Phebe Molkenboer cut loose with a series of boundaries. As a result, the run rate suddenly looked a lot healthier than the meagre six per over at the beginning.
Although top wickets fell, Phebe held out with a fantastic career-best 91 not out. Frédérique Overdijk contributed 36 runs off 24 balls in a partnership of 65 for the fourth wicket. 175 was ultimately a good end result from a Dutch perspective.
Despite a copybook-cover drive by Wilhelmina Garcia in the early stages, Germany soon lagged behind the requested run rate.
Halfway through the innings it was 45/0 and so Germany still had ten overs to make 131 runs. Thanks to tight spells from almost all bowlers, the German players did not get any further than 110/1. Garcia remained unbeaten with 51.
The Dutch are now definitely going to Nepal where the team will try to get a ticket for the T20 World Cup.
