- Dutch women with both feet on the ground after defeat against Scotland

The Dutch women's team has lost the second game against Scotland by a considerable margin. The Scots – who like the Netherlands had already qualified for the Global Qualifier – were out for revenge after the earlier loss and won convincingly: 122-63.
The Netherlands, which opted for fielding, got off to a good start.
Darcy Carter and Kathryn Bryce were dismissed cheaply. With some wonderful drives, Sarah Bryce brought Scotland back into the game. It was Hannah Landheer who broke the partnership of 48 (Chatterji 15).
After that, Sarah Bryce (49, c&b Lynch) led Scotland to 122/7. Five Dutch bowlers were successful, of whom Eva Lynch (2-21 in four overs) had the best figures.
Innings Netherlands
The assignment was clear: don't go out and put at least 90 runs on the board. Then there would be little chance that the net run rate on Tuesday could still be in favour of the Scots.
Heather Siegers picked up where she left off on Sunday with a sledgehammer-hard six. Unfortunately, her innings (23 off twelve balls) didn't last as long as it did against France. When Iris Zwilling was bowled in the same over, the Orange were in a spot of bother, especially when Robine Rijke ran herself out and Babette de Leede was stumped.
Seven wickets down after ten overs was not the scenario interim coach Jeremy Bray will have hoped for.
Given the return of Sterre Kalis to England, the batting line-up was a bit shorter. Caroline de Lange fought hard making nine runs, but the Dutch were all out for 63 in 15.3 overs. Darcy Carter (3-11 in four overs) excelled for the Scots.
