- Fourth ODI easy prey for Thai women
The fourth ODI at Chiangmai was again a relatively easy win for Thailand. The Dutch only managed 145 all out, which was chased by the Thai with almost half the available overs to spare (146/3).
For a change the Netherlands opted to bat first after winning the toss. Babette de Leede and Sterre Kalis made 18 in six overs.
Robine Rijke, who is in great form in New Zealand, demonstrated several well-timed drives. The runrate went up to more than four per over.
After a mistimed shot over the top it was 76/2 with Rijke 23. However, a collapse led to 83/5.
Against her nature, Eva Lynch had to bat quietly, which she did - but still she became the third run out victim, moments before Babette de Leede was dismissed for a well-made 59 (109/7).
Gwen Bloemen (20) and Hannah Landheer (14) made a nice 30-run partnership for the ninth wicket. The final score was 145.
Thailand innings
Iris Zwilling had a perfect start when she trapped Tippoch in front in the very first over. However, for the fourth time in succession Chantham was in a league of her own.
With a beauty Caroline de Lange picked up Leephatthana but apart from a caught and bowled chance the Thai give little away.
Although Iris Zwilling claimed another success when Chantham (68) was handsomely caught by Robyn van Oosterom on the square leg boundary, it was never a real contest. Thailand won after 26.1 overs with seven wickets in hand. Still, Zwilling (2-28) and De Lange (1-24) had excellent bowling figures.
