- Hattrick Van Beek gives the Netherlands T20 win over Hong Kong

The Dutch men have also won the second match in the T20 World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe. Thanks in part to a hat-trick by Logan van Beek, Hong Kong was all out for 116. The Netherlands passed this total in the fourteenth over.
For a long time it seemed that the Asians would be able to reach a competitive score. Although the Netherlands had the better of the game (Van Beek quickly eliminated the number two and Klaassen (2-16) Shariz Ahmad, De Leede and Pringle took wickets as well) opening batsman Nizakat Khan held firm and had meanwhile reached his 50.
Logan van Beek bowled the eighteenth over. His second ball went for six, but then the magic began. Nizakat Khan (60) was caught by Myburgh, after which Van Beek got the numbers eight and ten LBW with consecutive balls. A fantastic hat-trick that tilted the match. Van Beek 4-27 and HK 116 all out.

Max O'Dowd (45) and Bas de Leede made a partnership of 64 runs for the second wicket at a pleasant pace, after the early departure of Myburgh. With Tom Cooper taking O'Dowd’s place (with the score at 77/2 in the ninth over) the scoring tempo did not slow down. In an attempt to hit the winning run with a sweep, Cooper (20) was given LBW, but Edwards got the winning single one ball later. De Leede made 36 not out off 27 balls.
On Thursday, July 14, the group match against Uganda remains.
In the other group, the U.S. leads with four points from two matches.
