- Hurricanes sell their skin dearly against winning Seafarers

In Schiedam, the Seafarers have won the last NORDEK ProSeries match. 225/9 wasn't enough to keep the Seafarers at bay.
Max O'Dowd was hit on the helmet by a bouncer from Paul van Meekeren and retired hurt. Since he later went on to field, it can be assumed that the opening batsman will be available for the Series that opens on Sunday, August 11 with an ODI against Canada.
With half centuries, Shariz Ahmad (51) and Noah Croes (53) contributed the most to the total of the first batting Hurricanes. Michael Molenaar (a quick 26 not out off sixteen balls) gave the score a bearable look in the closing stages of the innings. Kyle Klein (2-34 in ten overs) underlined his good form.
Musa Ahmad, like brother Shariz back in the national squad, looked good for his 45. Vikram Singh laid the foundation for the victory for the Seafarers with a wonderful 90. Scott Edwards finished it off with a classy 56 not out (246/6/45). With 3-38 in seven overs, Mees van Vliet accounted for the best bowling figures on the side of the Hurricanes.
