- Lancs Thunder women too strong in valuable practice match

The Dutch women's team has once again been able to add a valuable match (against Lancashire Thunder) to the joint cricket experience, with some impressive individual performances.
With a good catch on the square leg boundary Frédérique Overdijk signed for the first wicket (31/1). With a lightning-fast stumping, Babette de Leede took care of the second (76/2).
A second catch from Overdijk meant 79/3. Unfortunately for the Netherlands, opener Alice Clarke was dropped on 43. Her wicket would have meant 111/4. Instead, Lancashire Thunder stepped up the pace after the drinks break.
144/3 was the score after half of the overs. Clarke and Fi Morris almost doubled that score before they retired — both with a brilliant century.
Lancashire Thunder reached 327/4 in fifty overs. Four Dutch bowlers took a wicket each.
Innings Netherlands
Although it was difficult to face the strong English attack, several players managed to make decent scores. Babette de Leede (53) and Robine Rijke (37) had an excellent partnership of 70 runs in eleven overs for the third wicket (105/3).
After that, the Lancashire Thunder bowling was simply too good. The Dutch lost the last seven wickets to 31 runs and were all out for 136 all out. Laura Jackson took 3-23 for the home team, Dattani 3-4.
