- Neil MacRae new head coach of Dutch women's cricket team

Scotsman Neil MacRae (25 March 1972) will be the new national coach of the Dutch women's cricket team as of 1 April 2024. He succeeds Jeremy Bray, who held the position on an interim basis following Shane Deitz's departure to the West Indies.
The first major assignment for MacRae, who played international cricket for Scotland as a right handed early order batsman, will be the T20 World Cup Qualifier, which will take place in April and May. Most recently, MacRae coached the Jersey men (2014-2024). Before that, he was the national coach of Austria.
Neil MacRae: “I am excited about joining the KNCB and working with the Netherlands Women’s Team. The Netherlands have a talented Women’s squad which has considerable potential to develop and improve further. It will be great to start preparing for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier in the UAE which is a huge opportunity in April and May.”
KNCB High Performance Manager Roland Lefebvre: “Three years ago, the KNCB made a real commitment to women’s cricket by appointing Shane Deitz as a National Coach. During that time, the women’s team has shown enormous progress. We are confident Neil will continue the great work Shane has started and wish him well. The women’s team is a group of very talented young players who show great commitment and are working extremely hard. We are excited to watch them grow and be part of the next phase in their development.”
