- Netherlands A defeated by Spain in T10 tournament

After the loss against England, the Netherlands also failed to win the match against Spain on Wednesday evening. A mixed batting line-up brought just 123 runs into the books. Spain surpassed this total with three balls to go and eight wickets in hand.
Initially the Netherlands seemed to be heading for a high total thanks to a powerful innings by Sebastiaan Braat: 50 of sixteen balls including six sixes. However, the line-up was as good as reversed and that did not work out well. Musa Ahmad, for example, remained not out as number nine. Orange only reached 123 runs.
Spain innings
After an unspectacular start by the Spaniards, Burns was bizarrely dropped in the fourth over. He hit a ball straight up. It seemed a simple catch for bowler Floyd, were it not for the fact that keeper Alphonse wanted it. He sprinted bu did not make it, after which the ball landed on Floyd's foot. It all looked a bit clumsy.
Opener Doyle-Calle was unbeaten on 51 and lefthander Hamza Saleem Dar came in just in time to pound legspinner Saqib Zulfiqar for three consecutive sixes – at a time when the Netherlands were still in the game. Fittingly it was Dar who literally knocked out the light three balls before the end with the winning six. Floyd bowled 0-11 in two overs.
The Netherlands and Spain will make it to the final day on Friday. The number 1 will play against 2 and 3 against 4. The loser of 1 vs 2 gets a second chance against the winner of 3 vs 4 and can therefore still get into the final. Before that, on Thursday, the second edition of the Netherlands vs Italy and the Netherlands vs Spain will be played.
