- Netherlands decrease loss margin

FairBreak has also won the second T20 against a Dutch selection. The Netherlands reduced the loss margin, which provides perspective for the final match on Friday afternoon.
Eva Lynch took the first wicket in the first over. In spite of that, FairBreak was able to progress to 50/2 in the tenth over, in which Robine Rijke took a fine catch to dismiss Mariko Hill.
Unfortunately for the Netherlands there were some spilled chances, but Silver Siegers, who bowled beautifully for her 3-21, decided to take matters into her own hands clean bowling Moretti Avery.
Kerry Tomlinson retired at 51 which meant the target was reduced somewhat to 120. Eva Lynch took 1-12.
Netherlands innings
When Van Oosterom was run out and Babette de Leede was caught off a leading edge, the Netherlands were 11/2; a nice opportunity for other players to show what they are capable of.
Robine Rijke took up the challenge batting positively, well supported by Annemijn Thomson (16 off 21). However, the required runrate had gone up to more than nine runs per over, so a small miracle was required to give the Netherlands a win.
That miracle did not happen, but Rijke (37 off 41) played a fine knock that gave the Dutch score some prestige. To get 34 runs in three overs was too big an ask for the women in Orange, who saw the curtain fall on exactly 100.
