- Netherlands to face Pakistan in three ODIs as part of ICC Super League

Nieuwegein – Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today announced the match schedule for the Pakistan tour of the Netherlands in 2022. The tour will feature three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) on August 16, 18 and 21 at V.O.C. Cricket Ground, Rotterdam.
These matches form part of the ICC ODI Super League and the teams will have the opportunity to secure points to be one of the top seven teams, excluding hosts India, to gain automatic qualification for the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
High Performance manager of KNCB, Roland Lefebvre said: “The KNCB is very excited to welcome the Pakistan cricket team back to the Netherlands. The last time the team visited our country was in 2004 for the Videocon Cup at VRA, a triangular series with Australia and India. The three match Super League series will be a fantastic opportunity for all the Pakistani cricket fans, living in Europe, to watch these games.
PCB Director – International Zakir Khan: “We are pleased that with the support of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB), we have been able to reschedule the series, which is important to the growth and development of cricket in the Netherlands as well as to the two teams’ chances of progressing directly to the 2023 World Cup.
“Our men’s national cricket team had an excellent 2021-22 season and I am confident they will build on the momentum to entertain expat Pakistanis and the Dutch spectators with good cricket. This series will also help KNCB attract new and young audiences towards the game.”
