- Netherlands progress to Super Six after narrow win over Nepal

The Dutch women have made the Super Six in a bizarre way. 140 seemed sufficient for the win for a long time, but Nepal still made it very exciting: 140-138.
The Netherlands won the toss and opted to bat on the initially wet ground. Heather Siegers unfortunately could not continue her usual explosive start (13 off five balls) and was caught at mid-off.
Babette de Leede (a solid 49) and Sterre Kalis (30) recovered the innings to 63/2/10 and to 94/3 in the fourteenth.
Robine Rijke (19 not out with nice ramp shots in the final over) and Iris Zwilling (14 not out) brought the final score to 140/5, with a partnership of 31 of the last three overs.
Innings Nepal
Nepal started smoothly. However. a run out and a catch by Heather Siegers led to 39/2/4. Thanks to tight bowling from Isabel van der Woning (3-16 including two crucial wickets in one over) and Caroline de Lange (1-17) it was 55/4 halfway through the innings.
Of the last five overs, 52 runs were required. Sita Magar, dropped at long off, and Rubina Chhetry brought Nepal back into the game with great innings. However, thirteen asked from the last over turned out not to be possible for the host country thanks to another strong final over from Heather Siegers.
Three wins in a row are enough to let the Dutch progress to the Super Six, four of which will go to the T20 World Cup; An excellent performance by the women's national team.
