- Netherlands show fighting spirit against Sri Lanka
First time, 214 was not a massive score for the Netherlands, although it looked even less favorable at a score of 28/4. Saqib Zulfiqar (56) and Teja Nidamanuru (48) were doing excellent repair work for the Netherlands in the middle order.
Thanks in part to left arm spinner Clayton Floyd (2-40), the Netherlands clawed their way back into the match; it had Sri Lanka on 81/3 and even on 99/5. In the end, Sri Lanka won by three wickets due to a strong performance by Dasun Shanaka (67 not out).
