- Netherlands Women looking forward to European T20 Qualifier after clean sweep v USA

From 20 to 27 August, the Netherlands women's cricket team has been tasked with taking a giant step towards the 2026 T20 World Cup. It will compete with Ireland, Germany and Italy for two tickets to the Global Qualifier, which will be held in early 2026.
The Netherlands Women's team completed a 4-0 T20I Series win v USA in June at Kampong Utrecht. The series was eventually condensed to T20I matches on four consecutive days following rain causing the cancellation of the early matches in the series. The series produced some excellent cricket with both teams gaining valuable T20I match experience.
Netherlands Coach Neil MacRae: 'We were delighted to win the series 4-0 against a competitive USA team. It was great to see strong performances spread across the starting eleven as we build depth in the squad. Whilst there are clear signs of improvement in the cricket we are playing, the USA series has also highlighted several areas we can improve on in training through July as we build up to the ICC T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier Tournament in the Netherlands in August.'
