- No chance Netherlands A in first match against Northants II

Netherlands A has lost the first match against the second XI of Northamptonshire. The rain-shortened match (35 overs) started with 223/6 by the English. The Netherlands could not overcome a weak start (27/3). At 127/8 after 24.3 overs, it was 55 runs behind the DLS target.
Masojada (49) and Broad gave Northamptonshire a flying start. It wasn't until 121 that the first wicket fell in the 24th over. Broad (who narrowly missed his century, 98) and Miller (48) added another 79 runs for the third wicket. Kyle Klein and Aryan Dutt had identical bowling figures: 2-43 off seven overs.
Innings Nederland A
Netherlands A did not bat well. VCC's Michael Levitt went after Bailey’s very first delivery and was caught behind. Asad Zulfiqar (LBW) looked a bit unlucky facing the same left arm seamer. Apart from Musa Ahmad (20), the top order failed to reach double figures.
However, youngsters Aryan Dutt (44) and Arnav Jain (25) had a nice surprise in store for coach Pierce Fletcher. They made 63 for the sixth wicket. After that, none of the Dutch had an answer to the accurate attack of the British: Bailey 3-29, Russell 3-24. Netherlands A got to 127/8 runs in 24.3 overs and lost on DLS by 55 runs.
