- Orange women fights past Thailand in insane match

The Dutch women's team will enter the Super Six with four points! In Katmandu, the Orange fought back from a seemingly lost position. 107/8 proved sufficient thanks to an unprecedented bowling and fielding performance.
The Thai won the toss and fielded first at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground. The start of the Netherlands was mediocre, thanks in part to smart bowling of the Thai (21/3).
There was some recovery for the fourth wicket, but 41/4 (Robine Rijke 15) was still anything but a dream stand. At the drinks break it was 52/4.
It even became 65/5 and 75/7. Mainly thanks to Babette de Leede (47) the score went to 107/8 (Zwilling 17 not out), but the Dutch had a lot of trouble with the eperciatingly slow Thai attack.
Bowling, the Dutch did have a dream start thanks to a brilliant opening spell by Iris Zwilling (3-9). A little later Isabel van der Woning was - again - on fire, among other things by cleaning the dangerous Chantham in a fantastic way. At 42/4/10, the game could still go in all directions.
Thanks to strong bowling, 44 runs were requested from the last four overs. A wonderful catch by Sterre Kalis - full stretch to the left in the covers - meant the fourth wicket of the outstanding Isabel van der Woning (4-14).
The last two overs had to bring Thailand 27 runs and the last over 22. Partly thanks to Zwilling's third wicket and keeper De Leede's fourth catch, Thailand ran aground at 90.
Taking four points to the Super Six is a huge advantage for the Dutch in the race for a T20 World Cup ticket.
