- Pieter Seelaar Manager of KNCB Marketing Communications & Sponsorship, effective January 1, 2026

Effective January 1, Pieter Seelaar will become a member of the KNCB Management Team responsible for Marketing Communications and Sponsorship. Pieter is best known as the former captain of the Dutch national men’s team.
“After my playing career, I held several jobs in the corporate world, but I missed cricket immensely. I am delighted that I can now contribute to the association in this role. I look forward to contributing to the further development of the KNCB's communications, with recruitment of new cricketers and sponsors being a top priority.”
Pieter Seelaar made his ODI debut for the Dutch national team in 2006 and his T20I debut two years later. His finest hour came at the 2011 World Cup, when he took the wickets of international superstars Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. In total, he took 57 ODI wickets and 58 T20I wickets. His development as a batsman was also impressive, rising from initially number 11 to the middle order, with a career-best 138 not out in a four-day match against Hong Kong in 2017.
The KNCB is convinced that Pieter can make a difference with his dedication and drive and wishes him every success in his new role.
