- Recap T20 weekend

This past weekend, the second round in the women's T20 competition took place, across three fields. The fourth match, VRA vs VCC, wasn't played. The match will soon be rescheduled to be played at a later time.
The matches were decided as follows:
Hoofdklasse women T20:
- Rood en Wit 98/7 (20) vs Quick 148/5 (20) - Quick won by 50 runs
- Excelsior'20 84/5 (17.4) vs Ajax Cricket Club 83/7 (20) - Excelsior'20 won by 5 wickets
- The Hague All Stars 143/1 (17.6) vs Groen Geel 142/5 (20) - The Hague All Stars won by 9 wickets
Groen Geel's reaction to their match vs The Hague All Stars
"Groen-Geel was really looking forward to the match against The Hague All Stars at HBS last Saturday: a new team on a new field: the Green & Yellows hadn't experienced that for a long time! The fact that you suddenly don't know exactly how the individual opponent bowls, bats or throws: a very welcome experience in the women's competition!
The Hague All Stars couldn't wait to get started and got off to a flying start: the first two balls of the match (!) immediately turned into two wickets.
The Green & Yellows - also called The Hague Old Stars, last Saturday ;-) - clearly needed some more time to wake up. Tessa van der Gun (69) and Tjitske Maathuis (23) then put things in order for Groen-Geel through a partnership of almost 100 runs. Groen-Geel came to a nice total of 142.
The Hague All Stars then faced the same challenge: the Green & Yellow bowling is also very much unknown to them, but the talented ladies handled it very well. With nice totals by Els Keppel (71*) and Merel Dekeling (40*) for just one wicket from Groen-Geel's best bowler Floor van den Assem, The Hague All Stars passed Groen-Geel's total and their first deserved victory was a fact. Congratulations on this beautiful achievement!"
