- Round 7: Exciting Topklasse & Voorburg CC in the lead in the Hoofdklasse

After seven weeks in the men's Topklasse and women's Hoofdklasse, the tables show a good overview of how the teams match up this season.
Men's Topklasse
In the Topklasse, VOC remains in the lead. They beat HBS by 76 runs on Saturday, which lead the Rotterdam team to a total of 21 points. Behind VOC it remains a close battle, as the numbers 2 and 7 are just separated by 6 points after the seventh round. The battle is therefore far from over, with more than half of the round robin to come.
With the last match of round 4, between Dosti CC and HBS, now also in the books, the table is fully representative of the current standings - all teams now on seven matches. HBS won this match and thus remained in hot pursuit of the midfield battle in the Topklasse.
Reactions
- Tom Heggelman, Excelsior'20 (win by 6 wickets vs HCC): "After a good and disciplined first innings, Shankar and Stubbs finished it off with a strong batting performance."
- Aryan Dutt, VCC (139 run win vs ACC): "After a rough start, we picked up the batting well, we bowled well and we were very strong on the field."
