- Ryan Campbell: Netherlands wants to pick itself up against Namibia

Unfortunately, the first match of the Netherlands in the Group Stage against Ireland was lost, without a chance. Coach Ryan Campbell: “Obviously the game against Ireland was extremely disappointing, starting with the run out of Ben Cooper. We made a number of mistakes with our batting, but for a guy to take 4 wickets in 4 balls sunk us.”
“I thought we created chances with the ball, but 106 was always too few to defend. A highlight of the day was clearly Max O’Dowd who showed his quality on the world stage.”
“Selection was extremely tough but we felt we chose the best eleven for the conditions. Of course, when you lose as we did, it’s easy to push the panic button and make a number of changes but we’ll take a breath and consider what is our best matchups for Namibia.”
The Netherlands will play against Namibia on October 20 at 12.00 Dutch time.
