- Scotland wins first T20I

After the four ODIs in the context of the World Cup League 2 (World Cup qualification), there are also four T20Is in Glasgow to be played by the Dutch men: two against Scotland and two against Nepal. The first against Scotland was lost on Sunday with 160-121.
Captain Scott Edwards sent the Scots in. Led by offspinner Aryan Dutt (3-17!), the Netherlands started excellently: 56/4, with the dangerous Munsey (30 from seventeen balls) back in the clubhouse. He was beautifully caught at cow corner by the well-anticipating Saqib Zulfiqar.
McCreath (40) and Cross (33) brought the score to 133/6 and some venom in the final overs still ensured 160/8. Alas, but certainly not unachievable.
Michael Levitt (36) saw the top order fail. The middle order (Nidamanuru 16) tried to keep up the pace at the expense of more wickets. The Dutch were unlucky to have two batsmen run out at the non-striker’s end by balls that were accidentally deflected by the bowler.
It was up to Aryan Dutt and Paul van Meekeren (a merry 20 off 11 balls including a ramp shot for six) to create a partnership of 24 runs for the final wicket. With Sharif taking 2-13 and Jarvis 2-14, the Dutch were all out for 121 after 18.1 overs.
