- Selection announced for Men's World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe and South Africa

Amstelveen, 6 March 2023 -- The Dutch squad has been announced to travel to Zimbabwe and South Africa in March to play the last five World Cup qualifying matches. These are One Day Internationals as part of the Super League that offer the prospect of participating in the 50-over-world championship, which will be held in India in October and November this year. National coach Ryan Cook, who has other commitments, will be temporarily replaced by Ryan van Niekerk.
The squad consists of: Scott Edwards (captain and wicketkeeper), Colin Ackermann, Musa Nadeem Ahmad, Shariz Ahmad, Wesley Barresi, Tom Cooper, Aryan Dutt, Brandon Glover, Vivian Kingma, Fred Klaassen, Ryan Klein, Bas de Leede, Roelof van der Merwe, Paul van Meekeren, Teja Nidamanuru, Max O'Dowd and Vikram Singh.
Of the above players, Bas de Leede, Brandon Glover and Colin Ackermann will not be available for the matches in South Africa; Wesley Barresi and Aryan Dutt will not be playing in Zimbabwe.

In addition to interim coach Ryan van Niekerk, top coach at the Gary Kirsten Cricket Academy in Cape Town, Heino Kuhn and Russell Domingo are also part of the coaching staff.
Heino Kuhn (1/1/1984) played first class cricket for the Northerns, North West, Titans and Kent and international cricket for South Africa (four Test Matches and seven T20Is). In total, he made 11,838 first class runs with a top score of 244* and an average of 39.06. In 2011, Kuhn played in the Netherlands at ACC, together with Graeme van Buuren.
Russell Domingo (30/8/74) never played as a professional, but obtained his first coaching diploma at the age of 22. In 2005 he became coach of the Warriors in the South African league and in 2011 assistant coach of the men's national team under Gary Kirsten. When Kirsten stepped down as T20 coach in 2013, Domingo succeeded him. In 2019 and beyond, he achieved excellent results as head coach of Bangladesh's men's team, especially in the One Day Internationals.
