- Spectacular ProSeries win for Hurricanes after tie and Super Over

The first ProSeries T20 between was won by the Hurricanes after a Super Over. Both teams made 156 runs, but in the Super Over, the Hurricanes made up for the failed runchase.
Vikram Singh (24) and Shariz Ahmad (28) came to reasonable scores in an innings that was mainly dominated by fast bowler Paul van Meekeren (4-27).
A lightning-fast start by Max O'Dowd and Michael Levitt led the Hurricanes to 55/0/5. But then followed a bizarre caught and bowled by Udit Nashier (2-6) who also got O'Dowd out in the same over with a slower delivery.
Yet 129/3/16 was still a promising score for the Hurricanes - dressed in blue outfits - who eventually had to make fourteen runs off the last two overs. After wickets by Klein and Dutt, Vikram (3-17) cleaned the presumed matchwinner Noah Croes for 42.
Eight runs asked from the last over, with four wickets in hand, and two runs from the last ball. It was only a single: a tie!
Thanks to twelve runs by Levitt and a single by O'Dowd, the Super Over gave the Hurricanes thirteen runs. The Seafarers Nidamanuru and Edwards were caught on the boundary and with that, the win was still for the Hurricanes after good and competitive T20 cricket.
Watch the match here. On Thursday 22 May, the Seafarers can take revenge at Hermes DVS in Schiedam at 3.30 pm.
