- Sterre Kalis and Babette de Leede participate in FairBreak Invitational women's cricket tournament

Dutch stars Babette de Leede and Sterre Kalis have been invited to play in the FairBreak Invitational tournament, from 1 to 15 May. This tournament hosts 6 teams, who will play for the title of this prestigious tournament at the Dubai International Stadium in the United Arab Emirates.
Kalis joins Tornadoes, De Leede joins South Coast Sapphires
The Dutch professionals will not play for the same squad. During this tournament Sterre Kalis plays for "The Tornadoes", led by Stafanie Taylor (West Indies). Babette de Leede will compete for the "South Coast Sapphires", where Sana Mir (Pakistan) is the captain.
De Leede and Kalis will meet at least once: on the second day of play, Thursday, May 5 at 2:00 PM (CEST). The semi-finals will be played on Saturday 14 May, immediately followed by the (small) final on Sunday 15 May.
FairBreak Invitational
FairBreak is an international organization focused on "creating opportunities that promote gender equality worldwide, with cricket as the primary vehicle." This tournament is the first privately-funded tournament in women's cricket history.
