- Team announced for tour to Namibia
The Netherlands will play a series of six matches against Namibia between March 20 and April 1 at Wanderers Cricket Ground, Windhoek.
Head coach Ryan Campbell: “The Namibia series will once again give us a great opportunity to play some high quality cricket during our winter. As always, my selections have been made with one eye on winning and protecting our World Ranking as well as having one eye on the future. It is great to give more opportunities to our youngsters Vikram Singh, Bas de Leede, and Philippe Boissevain as well recalling Sikander Zulfiqar, Viv Kingma & Sebastiaan Braat.
With a packed summer schedule ahead of us, it was decided to give our Vice Captain and wicketkeeper, Scott Edwards, some extra time off and to also give Tobias Visée an opportunity to take the gloves again.
The 4 T20s and 2 ODIs will give us a great chance to continue on the good work that we saw at the T20 World Cup Qualifiers in October, as well as prepare us for what will be an extremely exciting Summer of Cricket.”
