- Thailand bounces back in T20I against the Netherlands

After Tuesday's excellent T20 win over Thailand, expectations were high. It became an anticlimax. The Netherlands was all out for 75; Thailand made the mini-score for the loss of two wickets in only 13.3 overs. Putthawong took 5-8, including four (!) bowleds in a row.
The Netherlands got off to a rough start. Being caught over the head, being run out by a bad call from your partner, being bowled on a forward defence – it may happen to the best and it makes cricket a painfully difficult and unforgiving sport. It all happened in the innings of the Netherlands.
The Netherlands were not in a good position at 75/6, but could still have put 100 runs on the board. Putthawong put a stop to that. She bowled the numbers 7 through 11, leaving Sterre Kalis stranded at the non-striker’s end 51 (the only player in double figures).
Thailand was ables to place the ball into a gap. Thanks in part to six boundaries, the target quickly came into view for the Asian women who throughly deserved the victory.
