- Thailand too strong for Dutch women in second game T20 TriSeries

In the second match of the Yamaha Racing T20I Series in the Nepalese capital Kathmandu, the Netherlands was unable to beat Thailand: 122/6 - 125/2/18.
The course of events against Nepal a day earlier gave the Dutch enough confidence to bat first after winning the toss.
Carlijn van Koolwijk and Isabel van der Woning came into the team for Heather Siegers and Hannah Landheer.
The Netherlands had an unfortunate start when Phebe Molkenboer and Sterre Kalis both were clumsily run out (14/2).
Thailand's bowling and fielding were disciplined as usual. Shortly after the Powerplay it was 28/3.
There was a strong recovery. The 100 was reached in the seventeenth over in which Babette de Leede (52) also reached her well-deserved half century. Her partnership with Iris Zwilling (28, brilliantly caught by Sutthiruang) amounted to 76 runs for the fourth wicket. The Dutch made 122/6.
Thailand innings
Thailand started smoothly, but saw the first wicket fall in the third and the second (54/2) in the ninth.
However, the runrate would never be a problem for the Thai, particularly with only two wickets down. In the 18th over, the Dutch total of 122 runs was passed. Koncharoenkai remained unbeaten for the Thai with 56 runs. Iris Zwilling and Caroline de Lange each took a wicket.
On Sunday 2 February, the Netherlands will again face Thailand.
