- UAE wins toss and second T20

UAE wins toss, chases, and wins
The second T20I contest in Amsterdam between The Netherlands and the UAE again ended in victory for the visitors. For Dutch debutants Philippe Boissevain and Sebastiaan Braat it was an individually succesful day though, as they each claimed a wicket.
After having won the toss UAE went out to bowl and field. They took the scalp of Stephan Myburgh quickly. Hampered by the loss of wickets at very regular intervals The Netherlands uneasily crawled to a final score of 136 for the loss of 9 wickets. Ben Cooper (photo) topscored with 46, followed by captain Pieter Seelaar with 34 runs. The Zulfiqar brothers were both run-out; Saqib was the real unlucky one when Cooper slipped while turning, leaving Saqib, already halfway in his second run, stranded.
Two early UAE wickets, for Boissevain and Braat, did not intimidate the visiting batsmen whatsoever. The middle-order scored enough runs, kept the scoreboard ticking over, and UAE managed the winning run off the 3rd ball of the 20th over. With the scores level Mohammed Boota produced the winning boundary 4. Boissevain was the only bowler with the full quota of 4 overs, with a respectable return of 1-19/4.
The third match is on Tuesday 6 August, at Voorburg CC, start time 16.00 hrs (4 pm).
