- Valuable experience at Headingley for Dutch women

Northern Diamonds
In the one-day game against the Northern Diamonds, the Dutch women's team could not provide a surprise. The result was a realistic representation of the power ratios, although there were countless bright spots.
The Netherlands won the toss and opted to field. Although the bowling and groundfielding was fairly neat in the early stages, Northern Diamonds ran effortlessly towards 78/0/10 giving away only a tiny chance at point.
Silver Siegers took her first wicket at Headingley when she bowled Lauren Winfield-Hill for 42 (98/1/13.1).
Emma Marlow and Hollie Armitage (55) brought the score to 167/1. Marlow was dropped on 74, but Armitage was not that lucky as Iris Zwilling picked up a fantastic one-handed catch on the cow corner boundary (186/2). Halfway through the innings it was 196/2.
Soon after, it became 202/3 when Robine Rijke dived to the right and caught Duckworth off Iris Zwilling, and 205/4 when Annemijn van Beuge claimed her more than deserved wicket. The combination Sterre Kalis/ Caroline de Lange denied Emma Marlow (97) her century (226/5/31).
It was 262/6 and 319/7 when Hannah Landheer got Beth Langston caught behind and then bowled Phoebe Turner for 26.
Annemijn van Beuge bowled Erin Burns for 86, but it turned out to be a no ball. Still in the same over, the wicket of Glen was sustained (375/8). Burns reached her 100 in 66 balls.
Sterre Kalis ran out Sophia Turner with a direct hit (391/9). Northern Diamonds closed on 413/9. The Netherlands gave away many extras, including twenty wides and thirteen no balls. Hannah Landheer and Annemijn van Beuge took two wickets each.
Innings Netherlands
Babette de Leede (36) and Phebe Molkenboer (31) gave the Netherlands a good start (55/0/10). The first wicket only fell on 86.
After the dismissal of the openers, the scoring rate decreased, but it was a matter of batting fifty overs to get as much practice as possible. Halfway through the innings it was 126/3.
Sterre Kalis and Robine Rijke both made 19, Hannah Landheer 17 and Iris Zwilling 37. The Dutch made 224/9; a valuable experience in a fantastic stadium.
