- Valuable warm-up Dutch women against Sri Lanka

In Abu Dhabi, the Dutch women played a valuable game against Sri Lanka on Sunday. No one will be surprised by the difference in strength (183-120) between the number seven in the world and the world number 15, but the Dutch impressed with some great individual innings and commendable mental toughness.
Sri Lanka chose to bat first and showed that they have a strong batting side. Demini and Karunaratne both made a smooth 49 before retiring. Eva Lynch (2-32) and the economical Caroline de Lange (0-26) held their own in the Dutch attack.
Batting, Babette de Leede (41 off 33 balls), Heather Siegers and 17-year-old Carlijn van Koolwijk (both 19) contributed.
The game is a boost for coach Neil MacRae and his players, who will play the first World Cup qualifying game against Vanuatu on April 27.
