 - VOC goes to qualifying day by the skin of their teeth

Thanks to one narrow victory in four games and a hopeless defeat of VOC’s competitor Indo-Bulgarian, VOC still managed to qualify for the series of matches on Saturday, March 4.
In Friday's game against the Farmers, it looked for a moment like the VOC bowlers had mastered T10 cricket: varying, moving the ball and taking the pace off the ball. But things went wrong again in the two final overs: they yielded 45 runs and that cost VOC the game.
Asief Hoseinbaks (again excellent with 1-10 in two overs) could not single-handedly prevent the Farmers from advancing to 130/3. VOC's response was insufficient; the strike rates of Arnav Jain and Tim de Kok were too low to make things difficult for the Farmers. VOC (with the quick-scoring Jelte Schoonheim and Pieter Seelaar on the pitch) had to make 32 runs from the last and was stranded at 111/2.
American University of Malta
In the afternoon, the match against the American University of Malta was scheduled. Although VOC again conceded a mountain of runs (124), the Rotterdammers stormed past the Maltese within nine overs thanks to a glorious 61 not out off 23 balls from Pieter Seelaar.
On Saturday 4 March there will be matches at 11.30, 13.30, 16.30 and the final at 19.30. VOC will play at 11.30 am (3 against 4). Then the number 1 will play against 2. The loser of that match will play against the winner of the first match.
