- Win against Scotland in Oman

The Netherlands cricket team won its first match in the T20 Quadrangular Series in Oman. It achieved a win over Scotland on the penultimate ball of the match: Scotland 153/7 – The Netherlands 154/3, opener Tobias stealing the limelight with a decisive 71 off just 43 balls (8×3, 3×6).
Captain Pieter Seelaar won the toss en sent Scotland in to bat. A lively opening by Munsey and captain Koetzer (33/0 in 2 overs) was soon broken and the Dutch then succeeded in claiming wickets regularly. Calum McLeod top-scored for the Scots with 53 from 45 balls. Roelof van der Merwe did not get any wickets in his bowling spell but had only 22 runs scored in his 4 overs of slow left-arm spin. Scotland finished on 153/7.
De battle between the no’s 11 (Scotland) and 13 (The Netherlands ) on the ICC T20 team ranking ended in a win for the men in Orange. The pair of Barresi and Ten Doeschate needed 4 runs of the last over for victory, and on the fifth ball, Barresi managed to win the match for his team. Tobias Visée received the Man of the Match award for his strong performance with the bat (picture).
