The Royal Dutch Cricket Board (KNCB) invites applications from experienced and well-qualified cricket coaches to join its management and coaching team in the position of:
WOMEN’S HEAD COACH
responsible for the coaching of all Netherlands representative women’s teams
Job description
- coach the Netherlands women’s teams (National XI and junior)
- prepare training programmes for the teams
- play a leading role in building and developing the Netherlands women pathway program
- deliver individual coaching support and skill sessions to the squad members
- prepare the teams for international competitions and ICC qualification tournaments
- chair the women’s selection panels (National XI and junior teams)
- lead and supervise women’s teams abroad in connection with a tournament, tour or academy
- supervise and mentor assistant coaches in the women’s pathway set-up
- work closely with the club coaches to identify, monitor and support the development of talented players
- provide complete seasonal reports (written) on the women’s teams (both teams performances and individual developments)
Position in the organisation
- report to and work closely with the High-Performance Manager to ensure the development of an elite women’s cricket program
- liaise with the men’s head coach and the High-Performance medical staff to align the coaching structure, methodology and goals
- together with the Operational manager for women’s cricket, undertake all year planning and preparation activities for all women’s teams
Skills, experience and requirements
- minimum coaching qualification UKCC Level 3 or international equivalent
- proven experience in coaching and developing women’s players for elite performance
- excellent knowledge and understanding of talent development
- excellent leadership and communication skills, organized and disciplined
- good knowledge of match analysis systems
- understanding of the Associate Member Cricket environment
- good understanding of Microsoft Office
- full driver’s license
- reside in The Netherlands during the term of the contract (2 years)

Dutch women's team to host Scotland and PNG in August
Scotland and Papua New Guinea (PNG) will visit the Netherlands in August for a number of One Day Internationals and T20I's. The matches will count towards the international ICC rankings. Scotland and PNG do not yet have an ODI ranking; The Netherlands is thirteenth. In the T20I ranking PNG is eleventh, Scotland fourteenth and the Netherlands fifteenth. The slight difference in ranking guarantees exciting matches and close finishes.
