- Dutch Women finish third after strong tournament; Thailand defeats Scotland to win event

The Dutch women's cricket team defeated Uganda by six wickets in their final match at the ICC Emerging Nations Trophy. They then had to wait for the result of Scotland vs. Thailand to determine their final position. The Netherlands finished third when Thailand defeated Scotland to win the trophy. The Dutch team played a strong tournament that provided a clear picture for the T20 World Cup qualifiers in January 2026.

The Netherlands pulled out all the stops to quickly surpass Uganda's score, as evidenced by sixteen boundaries. After 43/3/7.1, Sterre Kalis (32) and Player of the Match Robine Rijke (36 not out) secured victory for the Dutch team in 14.5 overs.

Four teams were close, collecting ten points from seven matches. Host nation Thailand had a narrowly better NRR than UAE. The Netherlands and Scotland finished third and fourth.
It was a successful first edition of the ICC Emerging Nations Trophy, featuring highly competitive cricket
