- Former internationals Helmien Rambaldo and Mudasser Bukhari and Dutch men's team honoured

After the T20I match between Netherlands and the United States on Wednesday, former internationals Helmien Rambaldo and Mudasser Bukhari as well as the national men's team were put in the spotlight by the KNCB.
Helmien Rambaldo (723 ODI runs in 46 matches and 154 runs in ten T20Is) made her debut for the Dutch women's team at the age of only 17. Two years later, she played her first major ICC tournament at the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.
In 2007, she took over the captaincy from Carolien Salomons. Her first assignment as captain was a Test Match against South Africa. This was the first and only time a Dutch team (women or men) played a Test Match.
With the Dutch national team, Helmien became European champions in Kampong when she was captain in 2011 - in both the ODI and T20I formats, with the Netherlands beating Ireland for the first time in a long time.
After her career as an international, Helmien has coached countless teams, making her stand out for her good preparation, thorough analysis of opponents and excellent tactical game plans.
Mudasser Bukhari also played 46 One Day Internationals for the Netherlands in which he made 516 runs and took 57 wickets. The latter is a national record he shares with Pieter Seelaar.
In 38 T20I's he also took 43 wickets for 780 runs, with a fantastic average of 18.14.
Men's team awarded
National men’s coach Ryan Cook and Scott Edwards, captain of the Dutch men's team, received the ICC Associate Member Men's Performance of the Year 2023 - the year in which the Netherlands qualified for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in India for the first time since 2011 and defeated both South Africa and Bangladesh during that World Cup.
Finally, no less than six new clubs were welcomed: ASML Cricket Association, Arnhem CC, Phoenix CC Groningen, United CC Eindhoven, Zuid-Hollandse CC, Zuiderpark League CC.
