- KNCB youth players of the year 2023 announced

As of this year the KNCB has awards for the best High Performance Female and Male Youth Players of the Year. Based on the overall performance of the youth players, we have selected the following players as the winner from the High Performance. Both winners have received a prize package sponsored by our loyal supplier Gray-Nicolls.

Winners for the 2023 season:
Female youth Player – Carlijn van Koolwijk
Male youth Player – Cedric de Lange
Dutch Lionesses U19 Head Coach, Helmien Rambaldo, “Carlijn had a great 2023 season in which she led the Lionesses U17 from the front as captain. Her composed innings of 62* not out against Ireland U17s in a T20 is one of the highlights of the season for me. Her dedication to the game and continuous drive to improve was rewarded with a call up to the National Women's team in the summer of 2023.”
Dutch Lions U19 Head Coach, Pierce Fletcher: “Cedric had an outstanding 2023 summer which culminated at the ICC U19 Qualifier where he finished as the Netherlands top run scorer.
Cedric finished with 187 runs, averaging 93 and included scores of 103 vs Scotland and backed up the following day with 71 vs Jersey. At 15 years old Cedric's performances were a sign of his immense talent and his commitment to improving all round. We look forward to watching Cedric's continued development in the Dutch Lions system in the coming two years."
