- The Netherlands beats Italy in second HCLTech T20I

The Netherlands won the second T20I match against Italy. Italy batted first after winning the toss. The 72 runs they made were surpassed by the Dutch batters without any problems.
Already in the second over Hannah Landheer bowled Rathnayake, but the Netherlands had to wait until the eighth over before the second wicket fell (28/2, c&b Eva Lynch). The scoring pace was low and star Emilia Bartram could not change that either; she was caught on the legside by the keeper off the bowling of Frédérique Overdijk.
72/8 was the poor end result, with Mahamalage (21) as top scorer. Wickets for all six Dutch bowlers, with the best figures for Frédérique Overdijk (2-9) and Hannah Landheer (2-11). Keeper De Leede took three catches.
The Netherlands needed 9.2 overs to pass the Italian total. Sterre Kalis was LBW for 16, but Babette de Leede (40 not out) and Robine Rijke got the job done.
It was a pity that Orange did not win the toss, otherwise it would undoubtedly have batted first.
Later this summer, Hong Kong, PNG and Scotland will visit the Netherlands.
